Mr. Mills graduated from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
He founded Cal-Pac Construction, Inc. (based in Los Angeles, California) in 1980 and focused on construction of Class A office and retail buildings.
In 1985, he moved to Hawaii and served as Chairman of Oceanic Properties/Castle & Cooke Land. During Mr. Mills' tenure, Oceanic Properties/Castle & Cooke Land earnings increased from $5 million to $35 million per year. Key accomplishments while Chairman included the repositioning of the company's residential development operations and the planning, design, construction, and opening of two world-class resorts, the Lodge at Koele and the Manele Bay Hotel, located on the island of Lanai.
In 1989, Mr. Mills founded The Mills Group which has a proven track record in real estate investment and finance, and has acquired and developed over $2 billion of strategic properties.
Mr. Mills is currently serving on the Iolani School Board of Governors.
